Born in Louisville, KY, in March of 1961. I met Jill while attending Indiana University in Bloomington, we were married in Bloomington in 1984 and we celebrated 34 years on 3/17/2018.
I came to know the Lord Jesus as my personal Savior on August 25, 1986, and Jill on August 27th. I have served a Deacon and also as a Gideon. I was called to preach and pastor in September of 1991 and I started Theological education in October of that same year. Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute, Mid-American Baptist Theological Seminary, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Christian Bible College and Seminary.
We have two children, Hannah, age 21 and John, age 20.
For the past 28 years, I have been in a ministry type position, including 3 pastorates: 1st Sunset Park Baptist Church, Monroe, North Carolina, 2nd Faith Southern Baptist Church, Huntsville, Arkansas and 3rd Calvary Baptist Church, Springville, Indiana.
After my second pastorate, my family and I served as an International Missionaries with the IMB – Ukraine 5 years and a NAMB Missionary, serving with the Southern Baptists State Convention in Indiana 5 years.
During my 3rd pastorate at Calvary, I was bi-vocational. I worked at Day Funeral Home as a Funeral Assistant, then I served for 2.5 years as a full time Chaplain for Premier Hospice in Seymour IN. I left Premier in March 2017 and served full time at Calvary. In May of 2018 I felt led to resign my Calvary pastorate and return to Hospice ministry. I began with Southern Care Hospice in Bloomington, as a Bereavement Chaplain.
We are prayerfully looking for the next Senior Pastor that God is calling to minister here at Englewood Baptist Church.
Bryan joined the staff at EBC in November of 2015. He holds an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Schoolcraft College and a Bachelor's Degree in Youth Ministry & Bible from Moody Bible Institute. Bryan married his wife Rachel in September of 2014 and they have two children, Lydia and Benjamin.
